I began my journey in the mental health field in 2004 and have been actively practicing therapy since 2009.
Over the past two decades, I've dedicated my career to understanding human behavior, healing trauma, and helping individuals and couples build deeply fulfilling lives and relationships. As a male therapist, I offer a perspective and presence that many clients — especially men working through sex and porn addiction — find easier to open up to. There's often less to explain, and less to brace for.
Most of the people I work with arrive carrying something they've never said out loud. My job is to make that first conversation survivable, and everything after it useful.
Specialized expertise
With over five years of dedicated experience, I provide a safe, non-judgmental space for individuals and couples navigating compulsive sexual behaviors — breaking cycles of shame, establishing healthy boundaries, and rebuilding fractured trust. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist through IITAP, I bring evidence-based tools and proven clinical resources to this work. See how sessions work.
Relational health is a core passion of my work. I've completed extensive training in two of the most evidence-based relationship modalities available — Emotion-Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method — helping couples map their negative communication loops, heal emotional wounds, and build a research-backed foundation for lasting intimacy.
Alongside my addiction and relational specializations, I work with clients on anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and practical coping skills — the kinds of concerns that rarely show up in isolation, and often sit underneath everything else.
My therapeutic philosophy
I believe therapy is most effective when it's a true partnership. In our sessions, you can expect an approach that is:
Direct & transparent
I don't sit in silence or hide behind clinical jargon. You'll get honest, straightforward feedback and clear insight into what I'm seeing and why.
Collaborative & informative
We're a team. I combine your self-knowledge with clinical expertise, sharing the psychology behind why you feel the way you do — not just what to do about it.
Compassionate & open-minded
Growth requires safety. I meet every client with radical empathy and a non-judgmental space, regardless of how difficult or sensitive the challenge feels.
The frameworks behind the work
Every approach I use is evidence-based and backed by formal training — not improvised session to session.
CSAT — Certified Sex Addiction Therapist
Intensive, specialized certification through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals (IITAP), covering assessment, treatment planning, and long-term recovery for compulsive sexual behavior.
Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT)
An attachment-based model for couples work that gets underneath the argument to the fear driving it — helping partners reconnect rather than just negotiate better.
The Gottman Method
Four decades of relationship research turned into practical structure — mapping communication patterns, repairing conflict, and rebuilding friendship and trust between partners.
Secure virtual delivery
All sessions are held over a confidential video platform, available anywhere in Texas. No commute, no waiting room — just a private space wherever you are.
What working together looks like
Reach out
Call, text, or send a message. Tell me as much or as little as you're ready to — a sentence is enough to start.
First session
We talk through what brought you here, what you've already tried, and what you want to be different. No pressure to disclose everything at once.
Build the plan
Together we set clear goals and choose the approach that fits — individual work, couples work, or both — with a realistic sense of pace.
Ongoing work
Regular sessions, practical tools between them, and honest check-ins about what's working and what needs to change.
Focused, evidence-based care
Let's work together to face what you're carrying.
Whether you're an individual working through personal hurdles or a couple fighting to save your relationship, you don't have to navigate this alone. Reach out and we'll find a time that works.
